"When I was making my 'Canning Jars' quilt, my daughter-in-law fell in love with the food fabrics," wrote Carol Price when writing about her "Picnic Quilt". "When we had been wine-tasting once, she had admired a picnic basket. Then, on a shop hop, I saw the checkered fabric with ants. This series of incidents inspired the creation of this Picnic Quilt, which she received with a picnic tote and wine."

The 78-x-70-inch quilt was one of many featured at the Santa Clara Valley Quilt Association 2013 "Shower of Stars Quilt Show."
