Communications Hill in San Jose, Calif., is actually a series of hills that could have rivaled Twin Peaks in San Francisco for its 360-degree view. Instead, San Jose allowed over-development of the hill. A huge, huge opportunity lost. This photo can no longer be taken with wildflowers because of development on top of the hill that I saw on my last visit. Perhaps now the entire area has been put under asphalt like the rest of overcrowded, polluted Silicon Valley.
