Burial of the Virgin (ca. 1500). Painted and gilded wood. Follower of Erasmus Grasser. This priceless artwork was a gift of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph C. Lee and was photographed at the California Palace of The Legion of Honor in San Francisco, Calif.
Please note that these photos were taken with my first consumer-grade DSLR as I was contemplating the change from pro SLR to pro DSLR. As a result, resolution, focus and other elements are not as polished as in my current photos with my medium- and large-format pro DSLRs.
