One of my favorite dahlias. At the time this photo was taken, the Gaylen Rose dahlia was rare on the West Coast. In fact, the dahlia grower who planted these, in San Francisco at The Dahlia Garden in Golden Gate Park, had one of his plants stolen. I don't remember seeing it in succeeding years. It's a beauty.
