This bright pink Floribunda ~ known in the United States as “Simplicity” ~ will brighten any garden with beautiful dainty pink blossoms.

Simplicity was bred by William A. Warriner and introduced in United States by Jackson & Perkins Co. in 1979.

HelpMeFind, which I’m a member of, lists Simplicity’s attributes as:

• “pink;
• “none to mild fragrance (I have inhaled the fragrance many times);
• “14 to 20 petals. Average diameter 3.5 {inches};
• “
medium, semi-double to double, cluster-flowered, in small clusters, flat bloom form;
• “prolific, blooms in flushes throughout the season;
• “long, pointed buds;
• “medium, bushy, upright;
• “large, leathery foliage;
• height up to five feet;
• “USDA zone 6b and warmer;
• “vigorous;
• “disease-resistant.”

“{Simplicity} can be used for beds and borders, garden, hedge or landscape,” according to HelpMeFind.

When applying for his patent, Warriner wrote, “This present invention relates to a new and distinct variety of rose plant of the floribunda class which was originated by me by crossing the variety Iceberg (unpatented) {floribunda, Kordes 1958} with pollen from an unnamed variety.”
