Mexican Dam Rapids Almost Erased By High Water

Mexican Dam, which is usually quite a bit above the lower part of the Carson River when it's not flooding, was almost erased on the day I photographed it in mid-May. By late May, the river was considerably higher and going over its banks in some areas of Riverview Park. It also went over its lower banks below the bridge on North Deer Run Road at the entrance to Brunswick Canyon. Here are some photos of Mexican Dam and just below it.
