Gaylen Rose DahliaThe Gaylen Rose dahlia is one of my favorite dahlias.
At the time this photo was taken, the Gaylen Rose dahlia was rare on the West Coast. In fact, the dahlia grower who planted these, in San Francisco at The Dahlia Garden in Golden Gate Park, had one of his plants stolen. I don't remember seeing it in succeeding years. It's a beauty. It's also one of my lovely wife Kathleen's favorite. It's also one of my favorite dahlias. By the way, now is a wonderful time of year to visit The Dahlia Garden in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco.
