It is one my favorites and also my lovely wife Kathleen's, too.

We met in Eureka, Calif., when I was city editor of one newspaper and eventually, I co-founded a daily newspaper and became publisher. She was Eureka city clerk.

The financial Great Depression of 2008 wiped us out and I left the newspaper about six months before it officially folded.

Eventually, I'll add more Eureka rose photos, but in 2018, I became very ill in the midst of updating my website and it has taken a number of years to re-edit my photos because my original computer monitor made them too dark, but I could not tell.
