San Jose's San Felipe Road LandscapeAfter years of drought, 2017 had some rain, and the countryside along San Felipe Road turned green, emerald green and so very colorful.
Metcalf Road and San Felipe Road join as they wrap around the eastern foothills of Coyote Valley in the South San Jose/Morgan Hill area of the far South Bay. I've taken a number of landscape photos that will appear in my Coyote Valley galleries. There even used to be a rocket-testing facility off Metcalf Road on Shingle Valley Road. It has since been dismantled.
After years of drought, 2017 had some rain, and the countryside along San Felipe Road turned green, emerald green and so very colorful. It was a welcome respite from almost six years of drought (officially, the state did not consider the drought was that long, but our yard told us the true story).
