This photo was taken in February 2023, when the river had receded a bit from its high-water mark. Mexican Dam and Mexican Ditch are two popular attractions in Carson City, Nev. The ditch runs throughout Silver Saddle Ranch and beyond, into a residential neighborhood and through Riverview Park and back into the Carson River. The ditch irrigates ranchland in the valley. This photo was taken in February 2023 and the dam was filled to the brim. The water level had been higher the week before.
