This 1952 DeSoto Special Convertible was shown at the 2010 Capitola Rod & Custom Classic on California’s Central Coast. At the time the photo was taken, it was owned by Rick and Michelle Frampton.
It was built by Leroy Billups and Gary Frampton. It features a 1999 LS1 engine, a 41.50E transmission, Ford Taurus headlights, Cadillac tail lights and 20-inch rims. Body work was done by Danny’s Rod Shop. Vinnie Shibe painted it. Upholstery was done by JS Customs. Exhaust by Rick Lea.
